About Swim Smart – The summer of 2009 was our first season to offer swim lessons of all levels to swimmers of all ages in Victoria, Texas. Swim Smart is a swim school staffed by familiar faces.
2024 marks our 16th summer of swim education from infants to adults.

She's a familiar face to swimmers all over the area, having spent years teaching and training students at the Victoria YMCA (lessons, stroke clinic & swim team), Quail Creek Pool (lessons and Quail Creek Swim Team), Oak Hill Pool (Swim Team) and many people through private lessons. Experience & Certification - Red Cross Water Safety Instructor, having Red Cross Life Saving and Red Cross CPR & First-Aid certifications, Member of The American Swim Coaches Association (ASCA), USA Level 2 Coach.
The Pool - Our pool has been constructed with safety and recreational and competitive swim instruction, in mind. The length of the pool is 25 yards and the width is 21 feet.
The shallow end is 3 feet 6 inches deep and spans 25 feet before it starts to deepen. This affords us ample space for beginner and intermediate level lessons. The deep end of the pool is 8.5 feet deep and there is a standing ledge 4 feet deep along all 3 walls of the deep end. The ledge, an added safety feature, gives swimmers and instructors the ability to stand comfortably against the wall to receive or give instructions. The pool has been constructed to the minimum competitive pool specifications. There are 3 seven foot wide lanes, backstroke flags 15 feet from the ends, tiled lane lines and crosses at both ends in all lanes. The deck has built-in anchors for the easy installation and removal of three starting blocks. Our pool gives us the versatility to effectively teach students of all ages and skill levels.
